A reminder of how content I've become of being alone. You need to realize the difference between "I am lonely" and "I am alone". You don't need to be upset. You can choose to feel lonely, or you can choose to embrace it.

To me, people are irritating. All people. Especially my peers (don't get me started). Maybe this is why I don't have much friends. A lot of people might find this to be something terrible, but... to me, it's quite nice. I get to do the things I want to do; sit in corners of hidden-bistros reading pocket novels without the distraction of unwanted company.

And I think the best part is, once I've found someone who's okay with me being me and thinks I'm cool for just being me, I automatically surround myself with people who don't like to bother other people and cause trouble. I like this. I like this a lot. Good genuine people, who are considerate and kind.

But today after I bought some books from the bookstore, I treated myself to some lovely spaghetti for dinner, and then I began to think of Zed. And suddenly I felt a gap beginning to form inside myself and I started to feel lonely. I guess only you can do that to me, huh? Make me sound like a total hypocrite to my blog-readers? Sigh. Damn you.

Tadaa!!! Here it is :-) Not sure I like the audio, but it's alright. Always room for improvement!

I'm not sure how I feel about Yuna's showcase, though. It wasn't like her first showcase, where it was more intimate and every song had that vulnerability you couldn't seem to shake off. This one seemed quite rushed. I'm also a little disappointed with the arrangement of Terukir Di Bintang because I expected it to be more like romance in the early 50s Malaysian scene rather than something Edith Piaf-ish (which was still beautiful, but not as delicate as how I first heard it). I'm not an expert, but this time the showcase was less of an impact than it had given once before.

Last year, I was almost in tears as I listened to Yuna perform Decorate, this year... it was kinda like she planned to leave the stage to make us call her back out again (to which the audience didn't probably cause they were too polite and just clapped when cued to). Hm.

But... she did write an amazing song for the album. Which I shall soon cover. Hehe. Watch out for it! ;-D

Unlike my little pisang (Suci), she got her name from her big sister who was three at the time and liked to make her mummy and daddy angry by purposely jumbling up Adina's full name by saying "Adina Munia Goat" which simplified to "Agoat".

Truth is, they're for me. My way of stuffing optimism into my head, try to tell myself "Maybe I can win?". And just maybe I can get it right this time and end this war raging inside myself.

Being engulfed by clouds again... You know, just another typical evening here!

And I was just wondering, clouds are made of water droplets, right? Aren't they snowflake-like? That's why it's so chilly and cold? Does that count as snow? Hm, well whatever it is, this is as close as I can get to snow right now. Good enough for me! ^_^ But still, would be nice if I got to go someplace where I could wear winter jackets and gloves. I could knit myself those cute snow hats with the ear flaps and pom-poms at the end (and I really can, haha). I don't know why I bothered to learn to knit. Not like I can actually wear any of it.

There Was A Old Man On The Bus Today

He was an Indian, with grey hair, slippers on, and a plastic bag in his tight grip. And just at the stop right before my university, the bus driver asked him to get off (kindly). But the poor man seemed to look confused, like he didn't know where he was. It was probably his first time in Puncak Alam, cause he asked the bus driver "Pun-cak A-lam?" and the bus driver told him this was as far as he could go (since he can't enter my uni and that's where the last stop is).

And as the bus driver pulled off, I looked at this man from outside my window and he watched us leave him behind in the middle of nowhere. Like he was trying to figure out where to go from there, or why the bus driver left him stranded and why he couldn't come with the rest of us. The painful thing to me is... I know that it's a really long walk to the nearest town, and he doesn't. I can't bear the thought of him limping that far.

Somehow... I get the feeling that this man wanted to see his kid or something. Like, he got on the wrong bus and, although he ended up in Puncak Alam, he didn't know the routes of the other buses that roam about here every half hour.

:-( Hm. I wish I did something to help him.

Cold Night Kimchi

It's raining again. I'm leaning back on my seat with a nice cup of hot kimchi ramen (but more like asam meets maggi) in front of my open window. I mean, there is no better way to pay tribute to this lovely night.

Well, it's only been the second week of the semester and I'm beginning to feel all this insecurity and self-doubt. I'm getting better at my Physics though, but that's all it is. Just minute progress. I worry, you know. Every time I look around, everybody seems to be just fine. Am I the only one worrying here? I guess... I guess I'm not as smart as I thought I was. I guess I'm ordinary. And I guess all I have to do is really just change all that and be the person I've always believed I was before. I mean, I never seemed to worry so much then.

Hm, the lightning's starting now. It's kind of funny, they're like giant flash bulbs hiding between the clouds. Yesterday night I came to bed late, and as I laid in bed I stared out my window and it was so beautiful that it made me forget sleep entirely. You know how they have meteor showers? Well this was a lightning shower. It wasn't raining. It's wasn't loud. Just lightning. Lightning without thunder. I don't know about you, but there was something so beautiful about the silence of the night with Zeus practicing his back arm into the midnight sky.

And this might probably be the only thing I like about Puncak Alam.

Hehe. And the instant ramen too!

Tonight. Evidently, 3 years of my past compressed into a 90 minute movie.

The mixed messages, the expectations, the disappointments. Tell me what wasn't left out? The first time I watched this, it was months after what happened with K. I was on a plane, trying to keep a straight face incase anybody was noticing my watering eyes. Everything was so painfully realistic and true.

Although it didn't take 500 days, life was moving on. I had no choice but to move with it.

My thirteen year old past would have killed to look and dress like Frances Bean Cobain.

I used to feel like I was a teen in the wrong era. I remember most of my favourite things to listen to or watch were made in the late 90s or early 2000s. Not to say I hate the music we have today, but I am a little tired of the indie-jazz musicians on the radio (Yuna, Liyana Fizi, Diandra Arjunaidi, etc). Just wish what we had back then was still around today. Which is mostly why I tune in to 89.9 on the radio for something from the good old yesteryears.

I think what I like most about back then was that people dressed a little off and wrong. It was like this quirky sense of style that people are trying to bring back to style today, only it was way more authentic back then.

I like how Frances dresses like she just came from 1994 in a time machine. I wish I had that.

I spent some money todayyy. Not really sure why this makes me feel good, but... it does. Oh yeah.

You know, I really wish I had something better to blog about. Something meaningful, maybe. But I don't. I guess it's cause I haven't really been that much inspired, lately. I've just been boring. I don't know why you chose me out of all the other girls, but I'll try my best to believe that I deserve someone as wonderful as you. There are times where I feel inadequate and not good enough, and then I'll start to be all difficult and get jealous and go apeshit on facebook and stuff. But I know you'll still look at me lovingly on skype and tell me you love me every night when we're snuggled up in our blankets slowly drifting towards a dream.

As stated in to-do list...

I had planned to wake at 5:30 this morning, but I ended up waking up just after labu said he was leaving for school. Note: Force labu to sleep early. No more extended cosy-sessions on skype! Was supposed to go out with Pika, too. Buuut instead, I ended up watching Death Becomes Her in bed, then played around with suci at home, and did a little fiddling with my camera.

Sigh. Little productivity today. Just a good movie, and a couple of nice shots. But it's okay! Cause tomorrow I'm going someplace special :-) hehe.
